Obituary for Richard Yach

Richard Yach
Richard P. Yach age 72 of Rosholt went to his eternal rest on Wednesday morning Nov. 23, 2011 at his home in Rosholt.
Funeral services for Richard will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday November 28, 2011 at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church, Rosholt. Rev. Greg Michaud will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Sunday with the Rosary prayed at 7:00 PM, at the Shuda Funeral Home, Stevens Point. Visitation will also be from 10:00-10:45 AM on Monday at the church. A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established in his name.
Richard was born July 18, 1939 at his family homestead in Rosholt, the son of Joseph and Theresa (Gierszewski) Yach. After attending Madison School in the town of Sharon, Richard worked with his family on the farm. Richard married Dorothy Flees on November 14, 1959 at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church. The couple later divorced. He then worked as a butcher and meat cutter at the IGA store in Rosholt and later as a cheese maker at the Cheese Factory in Rosholt. Richard worked for Wergin Construction in Wausau for a number of years before his retirement. He was a member of Labors Union Local 330 as well as a member of the Rosary Society. He was also a landscaper as well as an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and working on his yard and garden. He took great pride in everything he did, always striving for perfection. He enjoyed family and friend get-togethers, and he loved and adored his pets. We will dearly miss his young at heart sense of humor. He was the kind of person who could walk up to a total stranger and walk away his friend.
Richard is survived by his fiancee' Sandra Zinda, Rosholt; 2 daughters: Carol (Chum) Bucholtz, Custer and Sue (Mike) Potocki, Wis Rapids. 2 sons: Alan Yach, Stevens Point and John (Karen) Yach, Custer. One brother, Robert (Louise) Yach, Rosholt. His sister-in-law Beverly Yach, Rosholt. 8 grandchildren: Nicole Suchowski, Craig (Britnye) Bucholtz, Cole & Chelsea Yach, Dustin (Jessica) Cebula, Cody Potocki, Chase & Tara Yach. One great grandson, Zander Bucholtz. Nieces: Arlene, Julie, Debbie, and Lori. His extended family and special friends, Dale and Caryn Firkus, John & Doreen Behnke, and the Zinda and Bucholtz Families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph Jr., and granddaughter Tracy Suchowski.
