Obituary for Richard R. Redding

Richard Ralph Redding, 82, died Monday, August 15, 2016, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, following a long battle with dementia.
Richard married Sylvia Firkus on July 4, 1959 and was the proud parent of three sons. Richard served as the Area Supervisor for the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles. As an avid athletics fan, Dick coached youth sports, and was one of the early organizers of the Special Olympics program in Stevens Point.
He is preceded in death by parents Ervin and Helen (Peabody) Redding, sister June Klish and brother Erv. He is survived by sisters Lucille Knudtson, Mary, and Dorothy Jajewski, and sons Tim (Sally), Rick (Joann), and Paul (Kara), six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 10:30 AM with visitation preceding at 9:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
