LaVonne June Stuettgen
LaVonne Stuettgen, age 69, of Stevens Point, passed away at home, Monday, August 22, 2016. She was surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Ministry Hospice.
A Celebration of Life Service for LaVonne will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday August 27, 2016 at the Shuda Funeral Chapel - Stevens Point. Family and friends will gather to share memories prior to the service from 10:00 - 1:00 at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in LaVonne’s name to Ministry Hospice. A special thanks to her caregiver Stephanie who was exceptional in her care of LaVonne.
LaVonne was born September 18, 1946, the daughter of Laverne & Carolyn (Carlson) Donley in Willow Lake, South Dakota. She attended school in Vienna South Dakota, Auburn Washington and graduated high school in Germantown Wisconsin and was valedictorian of her class. LaVonne married Robert Stuettgen at Good Shepherd Church in Menomonee Falls on January 25, 1964. They were married 52 years.The couple moved to Stevens Point in 1995 after Robert Stuettgen retired as a Sheet Metal worker. LaVonne worked at Rice Clinic in the Medical Records Department until her retirement in 1998. She enjoyed reading, traveling, going to casinos, but most of all spending time with family and her grandchildren.
LaVonne is survived by her dedicated husband Robert, their 2 children: Kimberly (Duane) Stuettgen-Larson, Prairie Du Sac and Bryan (Jami) Stuettgen, Stevens Point. She is further survived by Daughter-in-law Lorie Stuettgen, Prairie Du Sac. Sister, Patricia Donley, Milwaukee. 3 brothers Larry (Dee) Donley, Menomonee Falls; Jerry (Glenda) Donley, Oklahoma City, OK; Richard "Dick" (Susan) Donley, Bryant, SD. 6 grandchildren: Brian and Brandon Larson; Kelsi, Taylor, Brody, and Austin Stuettgen. 1 great grandson: Mason Stuettgen. She was preceded in death by her parents; son James; and her sister Carol.
LaVonne’s strength and determination to fight cancer will never be forgotten by all who have known her. She will be greatly missed by all.
