Lucille M. March
Lucille M. March, age 90, of Plover, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, December 1, 2016 at her home.
A private memorial will be held, with burial at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha, WI.
Lucille was born July 2, 1926 in Gould City, Michigan, the daughter of Frank Oliver LaRose and Minnie Rushford. She married Donald J. March on November 21, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI. The coupled settled in Pewaukee and in 1985 moved to Waukesha. In 2004 they moved to Stevens Point to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren.
During WWII she worked as a Candy Striper at a hospital in the Milwaukee area. Lucille was a wife and homemaker and she was very proud of that. She was an excellent cook and made the best apple pies you’d ever want to taste.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 67 years Donald J. March, her two children Gary March, Chicago, and LuAnn (Jack) Elsinger, Stevens Point; two grandchildren Robin (Joel) Falk, and Daniel (Kayde) Elsinger; and two great grandchildren Nathaniel Elsinger and Gianna Falk. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sisters Clara Jaeger, Emma Schlotthauer, Leona “Mae” Lentz, and brother Frank LaRose.
