Richard Perron
Richard "Rick" Perron, age 65, of Plover passed away at Saint Joseph Hospital in Marshfield surrounded by his loving family on July 1, 2017.
A Memorial Service for Rick will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Shuda-Plover Funeral Home in Plover. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9-11:00 AM on Friday before the service. Pastor Amy Meyer will officiate. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
Rick was born in Stevens Point on August 5, 1951 the son of Clifford and Evelyn (Clum) Perron. Rick was very active throughout his life, attended the Wisconsin Lion's Summer Camp, and was involved in many aspects of the community. He worked at the Bancroft Bank and helped with Meals on Wheels. He competed in Special Olympics in basketball, bowling, and track and field. Rick enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises. He was also an avid Packers and Brewers fan. He especially enjoyed celebrating every holiday with his family, Christmas being his favorite.
Rick touched many people's lives through all of the activities he was involved in. He was loved dearly and will be missed by his family, friends and the community.
Rick is survived by his 2 brothers, Robert Perron and Gary "Dewey" (Barb) Perron, his sister Lori Haessly, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Evelyn.
Rick's family would like to thank the Palliative Care team and the Critical Care Unit staff at Saint Joseph's Hospital for their excellent care of Rick.
All of Rick's caregivers throughout his life, have shown him true love, affection and great compassion, which is deeply appreciated by our entire family.
