William E. Terrill
William Ellsworth Terrill, 75, of Stevens Point, WI formerly of Crystal Lake, IL passed away Sunday September 3, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.
A Mass of a Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM on Thursday September 14, 2017 at St Peter's Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam will officiate. Interment will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery with full Military Honors.
William was born in Chicago, Illinois to William and Ethel Terrill he lived most of his life in the Chicagoland area, later moving to Stevens Point in 2014.
Bill was a loving husband of 50 years to Mary Ellen Terrill nee Frangella and a devoted father to Annette (Robert) Terrill-Nitz of Pouslbo, WA, Cynthia Terrill (Fiancé Timothy Boyd) of Crystal Lake, IL and Lynne (Luke) Verseman of Stevens Point, WI. Bill was also a proud Papa and Grandpa to Ryan Aversano Jr. of Lake in the Hills, IL and Dylan Verseman of Stevens Point, WI. Bill was a second father to many especially Russell Baltis of Wonder Lake, IL and a friend to all.
After high school, in 1966 Bill joined the U.S Army and served in the Artillery Board.
Bill married his wife Mary Ellen November 26, 1966 and in 1971 started with The Milwaukee Road, Soo Line and C.P. Rail Railroad in Bensenville, IL until his retirement.
In Bill’s younger years he was an avid bowler and came close to bowling professionally. Bowling continued to be a passion of this. Bill loved all sports from football to Nascar. To his family, Bill was “Mr. Fix It.” He could fix and repair anything, a jack of all trades.
Bill always enjoyed the company of family and friends; often sharing stories of his life. With each life experience shared came pearls of wisdom. Bill made sure you understood the life lesson you were to take away and apply in your own life. His stories will forever be in our hearts to share.
