Janice Dzikoski, age 86 of Stevens Point, died December 6, 2017 after a brief illness.
A Mass of a Christian Burial for Janice will be held at 11am, Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at Holy Spirit Parish in Stevens Point. Rev. Thomas Lindner will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 10-10:45am on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at St. Johns the Baptist parish cemetery in Menasha, WI at a later date.
Janice was born August 14, 1931 in Neenah, WI. , daughter of Ambrose and Hattie (Suchodolski) Dzikoski.
She was a graduate of St Joseph Academy, Stevens Point, With the class of 1949 and the St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield, Certified Nursing Assistant program in 1970. She was a member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, TOSF for 41 years from 1948-1989. As a sister she was a homemaker for the sisters in eight Wisconsin parishes, at River Pines Sanatorium and the St. Joseph Motherhouse. She was an in home health aid from 1970 until her retirement in 1997.
Janice enjoyed traveling, music, Catholic television and radio programs, watching old movies, dining out and time with friends. Janice had a deep religious faith. She was known for her friendly, engaging personality that often focused on others and a deep resilience to adversity.
She is survived by cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and and a sister, Dorothy as a child.
