Obituary for Lorraine A. Burclaw

Lorraine Burclaw age 90, of the Town of Franzen went to her Heavenly Home with the loving care of Bonnie on Friday February 23, 2018.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday March 1, 2018 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. Rev. Jeffery Hennes and Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Adalbert Cemetery. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9:30 - 10:45 AM on Thursday prior to the Mass at church. Shuda Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Lorraine was born July 13, 1927 in the town of Bevent to John and Clara (Jaski) Kleman where she lived, until marrying Edmund Schulist on November 13, 1943. Edmund and Lorraine owned and managed a dairy and potato farm in Galloway, WI. Edmund passed away March 5, 1986. Lorraine continued to farm with their son, Larry. On February 18, 1996, Lorraine married Emil Burclaw and they resided on the farm. Lorraine retired in August, 1984.

Lorraine held the position of Secretary for the Rosary Society at St. Adalbert’s Parish in Rosholt and President of the Parent/Teacher Association for the school in her younger years.
Lorraine was very proud, and loved to talk about all her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments.
Lorraine enjoyed traveling, attending bingo events, gardening, cooking, baking, and playing cards (especially pinnacle), dancing to polka and waltz music, and visits with family and friends.

Lorraine will be missed by all. She is survived by her children: Geraldine (Donald) Jelinski, Diane (Darrell) Hawley, Beverly (John) Rice, Bonnie (Robert) Ferkey, Arlene (Larry) Kizewski, Joan (Jerry) Hubbard, Larry (Lisa) Schulist, Tim (Kelly) Schulist and son-in-law Tom Hanson. God embrace her in Your arms! She is also survived by her sister Grace Wanta, 23 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands: Edmund in 1985 and Emil in 2017, 5 children: Robert Schulist as an infant, Mary Ann Hanson in 2013, 3 infant daughters Janet, Denise, and Elizabeth, two sisters, Angeline Tuskowski and Irene Boetcher, and one brother, Edward Kleman.
