Joseph Gerard Ostrowski Jr, age 24, passed away on Saturday August 4, 2018 in a traffic accident.
Friends and family will gather to share memories from 3:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday August 10, 2018 at the Shuda Funeral Chapel : 3200 Stanley St. Stevens Point.
Joey was born January 18, 1994 in Stevens Point, the son of Joseph and Constance (Korbal) Ostrowski. He graduated from SPASH in 2012 as an honor roll student. He made many great memories and great friends while in his high school career.
Joey enjoyed his biggest passion which was cooking, he always wanted the food he cooked to be tasted and enjoyed by everyone. He wanted family, friends, and customers happy while they ate his food or while they visited Charcoal Grill. Joe cared so much for everyone. He always had something kind to say about everyone. Joe put others before himself and always wanted others happy.
He enjoyed being around other people; whether it was a large party or just a small get together. Joe always wanted to be a shining light for others for them to know they could always come to him for anything they needed. Joe enjoyed being in nature and more specifically fishing. He always appreciated the Earth. Anything pure/natural, Joe enjoyed.
Joe reached out and touched so many people’s hearts. Even if Joe didn’t know or try to touch others; he always did. So many people have great things to say about Joe. He was kind and loving, always trying to help others. Nothing was greater than Joe’s desire to show others the good in this world.
Joey loved all types of music; from rap with his favorite artist being Wiz Khalifa, to country where he enjoyed Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, and all the other great county artists. Joe also had a very strong passion for slow pitch softball. Joe pitched for two teams; Mossity Vapes and Rookies Sports bar. Joe was very close with these two teams; treating them both like family. Everyone on his team was always so happy to see him there. The entire softball league in general was like a big family and Joey treated it like a second home.
Joey always brought big smiles to everyone’s faces and always brought joy to the world. Joe will always be loved and will be dearly missed by all his friends and family. He is survived by his parents, his brothers Jeremy and Shawn, and his sisters Samantha Ostrowski and Tina Trelka. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ronald G. Korbal and his sister Cassandra Trelka.
