MaryAnn Wrycza
MaryAnn Wrycza (Piotrowski) passed away Tuesday morning August 7, 2018 at the Wisconsin Vetrans Home in King, WI.
Private funeral services will be held. Shuda Funeral Services of Stevens Point are honored to assist the family.
MaryAnn was born October 15, 1929, the daughter of Leo and Gertrude (Sankey) Piotrowski. MaryAnn grew up on a farm in Buena Vista near Amherst, attending a 1 room grade school house. She left home at age 12 for Stevens Point, where she graduated from the Maria Academy. MaryAnn married George Wrycza on July 5, 1954. MaryAnn became a telephone operator for Wisconsin Bell Telephone starting at age 16 & retired 38 yrs later after moving to Appleton.
MaryAnn loved quilting, volunteering at Make-A-Wish, Senior Net & was a board member for the Coalition of Wisconsin Aging groups. She enjoyed trips to the Ho Chunk Casino and Rhinelander.
She is survived by her son; John Wrycza, Naperville, IL and two daughters & 5 grandchildren who live in Northern CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George in 2004; her sisters, Lillian Walker, Alice Piotrowski, both of Florida; Sister Romana Piotrowski, Tuscon, Sister Mary Bede, Green Bay, Tecla Piotrowski Milwaukee; brothers, Chester, Larry and Melvin Piotrowski, all Stevens Point - and special friend Richard VanRyzin, Appleton
