Mary Ann Ryckman
Mary Ann (Chojnacki) Ryckman
November 3, 1945 - August 24, 2018
Mary Ann Ryckman, age 73 found her way to heaven on the evening of August 24th, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She succumbed to complications of pneumonia at Aspirus Hospital Wausau, WI. Mary Ann found gratitude in the life she lived and the peace she could experience with entering into the gates of heaven to be with her beloved husband, son, parents, and many other family members.
Born in Stevens Point, WI. Daughter of the late Lillian (Firkus) Chojnacki and Stanley Chojnacki. She graduated High School in Stevens Point, was a Mother of four children, and worked for years for Herschners.
She is survived by siblings Florian Chojnacki, Stanley Chojnacki, Louis Chojnacki, Theresa Daniczyk, Marge Glodowski, Patricia Nord, & Rosalie Chojnacki. Her siblings Jerry Chojnacki, Leonard Chojnacki, Henry Chojnacki and Frank Chojnacki proceeded Mary Ann in death.
Her marriage to Charles (Ken) Kenneth Ryckman, Sr., (Greensburg, IN) (deceased 4/2009) took place on May 14, 1966 in San Diego California. He served in the Navy until June 1969. They had four children together, Michelle Mettlach, (Dodgeville, WI), Charles Kenneth Jr. Ryckman (deceased 3/2009), Raquel Ryckman-Frank, (Wales WI) & Brenton Ryckman, (Stevens Point, WI).
Mary Ann was well known for her sweet and generous spirit. She loved her family, friends and siblings with all her being. She had a love of angels and cherubs, religion, gardening, cross-stitch, drawing sketches and had a way of making things fun during family gatherings.
We will remember her sense of humor, passion for life, optimism, sweet spirit, kindness, and will miss her dearly. We are proud that she is an organ donor and that her contributions will provide hope to someone in need.
Survivors include son-in-law Patrick Mettlach (Dodgeville, WI - husband of Michelle Mettlach) whom she embraced as her own son, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild: Jessie Hansen (Nekoosa, WI), Dustin Ryckman (Stevens Point, WI), Hannah (Mettlach) Davis (El Paso, TX), Alison Frank (Shanghai, China), Tessa Ryckman (Stevens Point, WI), Ava Mettlach (Dodgeville, WI), Macy Frank (Wales, WI), Melah Ryckman (Stevens Point, WI) Castiel Ryckman (Stevens Point, WI). She loved talking about her children, grandkids, nieces and nephews and their accomplishments and inner strengths.
