Obituary for Nancy Ann Freda

Nancy Ann Freda
Nancy Ann (Brady) Freda, age 84, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 while on family holiday in Door County, Wisconsin.

Nancy was born on November 6, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, to Joseph and Agnes (Wulf) Brady and attended school in Chicago. It was there she met and married the love of her life,
Clifford Raymond Freda, on March 9, 1952. In 1957, Nancy and Clifford moved to Stevens Point with their children, and Clifford’s parents, and opened Freda Sausage Company.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In their early years, while Clifford was running the family business, Nancy brought “homemaking” to its highest level. She had a large garden and canned her own produce. She was an exceptional cook and loved to entertain in grand style. She was an active member of the PTA and Homemakers Society. She was an accomplished seamstress and crocheted many beautiful baby blankets for her grandchildren. She loved golfing, bowling, and reading. Quality time spent with family and friends was important to both Nancy and Clifford. They had a cottage on Lake Helen and later a home on the Wisconsin River. Many days were spent boating and enjoying family time. Nancy also had an extensive Dickens Christmas Village which she artistically displayed for family and friends each holiday season. She always put others first and we will miss her dearly.

Nancy is survived by her children: Mike (Carol) Freda; Pat (Brian) Arneson; and Amy (Dale) Felckowski; nine grandchildren: Scott Freda, Eric Freda, Karen Freda, Marissa Arneson, Megan Arneson, Brooke Felckowski, Katie (Dan) Drida, Nikki (Zach) Brandenburg, Jenny Felckowski; one great-grandson: Emmett Felckowski; one sister, Mary Ulbert; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Freda; son, Roger Freda; parents, Agnes and Joseph; and three brothers, Allan, James, and Bernard Brady.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Nancy will be held Wednesday, August, 29, 2018, at 11:00 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, Wisconsin. Rev. Edward Shuttleworth will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Bronislava Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9:00-10:45 a.m. with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. in the church.
