On January 7, 2018, this world lost a kind, generous and caring soul, Judy Katherine Fisher (Lind) age 76 of Stevens Point, after a courageous 14 month battle against a rare form of brain cancer, spindle cell sarcoma.

Judy was born on July 4th, 1941 in Madison, WI, the daughter of Louis and Jeannette (Soeteber) Lind. She lived and attended schools in Minnesota and Pawley’s Island, SC, and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School, Stevens Point, WI in 1961. She married Bruce Fisher in November 1962, he died December 2002. She worked at Spectra Print Corporation for over 30 years. Judy’s favorite thing in the world was spending time with her family, her children and grandchildren meant everything to her. She enjoyed times at the family cottage in Catawba, gardening and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed making jewelry with her daughter Lori and friend Linda. She loved finding great places to eat which she did with her friends Lorraine and Lee and also her special friends and neighbors of 50 years Ben and Alice Obremski.

She is survived by two children, Lori (John-Jack ) Britz, Rosholt, Scott (Amy) Fisher, Stevens Point, and three grandchildren, Aiden "Aidee", Zane and MaKenna "Kenna" Fisher. One brother Paul Franklin Lind, Charlotte, NC, sister-in-law Mara Zarins, Huntersville, NC, sister-in-law Dona Fisher, Stevens Point, WI sister-in-law Debra (Tom) Kulas, Rosholt, WI. Grandfurs Sara Bara Baby, Trapper John, Meeko & Ripley. Her very best friends, Lorraine Zurawski, Lee Hummel and Ron and Linda Radoll. Relatives in Wisconsin and South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Heidi Sue Fisher, brother-in-law Duane. A private burial will be this summer near her birthday.

Judy’s family would like to thank Dr. Adedayo Onitilo, Dr. Benjamin Lawler both with Marshfield Clinic and the entire oncology staff involved with her care. Also Dr. Paul Munck and his staff, Willow Brooke Point Assisted Living and their staff. A special thank you to Ascension/Ministry Hospice Care. All of you worked tirelessly, gave of yourselves to care for our mother during her end of life journey, we thank you.

The family takes comfort in knowing Judy was surrounded and loved by family and friends, and in believing she was welcomed by her family that is waiting for her and our Lord Jesus Christ as he receives her into Heaven.
