Obituary for Clarence F. Karpinski

Clarence F. Karpinski
Clarence Karpinski, age 91, of Rosholt passed away Monday evening February 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Clarence will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 3, 2018 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday evening at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point. A Rosary will be prayed for Clarence at 6:30. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 Saturday morning until the time of services at the church.

Clarence was born March 31, 1926 in the town of Sharon, the son of Peter and Anna (Bushman) Karpinski. He attended George Washington and Saint Adalbert’s schools. At a young age he worked at Gordondale Farms in Nelsonville and later at Joerns Brothers Furniture Company in Stevens Point. Clarence married his loving wife of 69 years, Bernice (Ksioszk), on October 18, 1947 at Sacred Heart Church in Polonia. The couple moved to Milwaukee in 1949 and he worked at A.O. Smith. In 1953 they returned to the area and have lived at their present address ever since. He worked at Marathon Electric in Wausau while farming before starting his automotive repair shop where he worked for over 40 years. Clarence utilized his exceptional mechanic skills to the fullest. He enjoyed carpentry, playing the harmonica, and all outdoor activities. He and Bernice loved to polka, play pinochle and work on projects together. He had a special knack for being able to fix ANYTHING and loved helping others. He also treasured spending time with his family.

He is survived by one son, Richard, Hubertus, WI; one daughter, Rene’ (Ken) Kaminski, Rosholt; and one daughter-in-law, Paula Karpinski, Milwaukee. Four granddaughters, Kristie Kaminski, Stevens Point; Kassie (Derek) Tijan, Eagle River; Leanne Karpinski, Wauwatosa; Kelly Karpinski, Cocoa, FL. Two grandsons, Brian Karpinski, Hubertus, WI; and Michael Karpinski, Tampa, FL. Two great-granddaughters, Braelyn and Jaxley Tijan.

Also survived by one brother, Myron (Regina), Milwaukee and one sister, Evelyn Kasel, West Allis; and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded by his beloved wife Bernice, his parents, one son Randy, one infant daughter, three brothers and three sisters.

Clarence was a member of the St. Adalbert’s Men’s Rosary Society. He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, his heart of gold and his everlasting faith.
