Maryanne was born December 20, 1938 in Stevens Point, the daughter of William and Grace (Trusty) Clendenning. She attended Meehan School (which was a one room school house), and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1957. Maryanne married Dale Fay on June 20, 1959 in Stevens Point. The couple owned and operated the Coney Island Bar, in Plover during the 1970’s. She then worked at Herrschner’s for several years before her retirement in 2000. Maryanne was very active with Woodlands Church, attending Senior Fellowship and Bible Studies. She was a “professional shopper” and enjoyed searching for the right purchase, but most of all she loved her family and spending quality time with them.
Maryanne is survived by her two sons: Dale (Judy) Fay, Stevens Point and Dave (Kimberly) Fay, Waterloo, WI. Two brothers: Robert (Corrine) Clendenning, Plover and Bill Clendenning, Plover. Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale in 2014, and her sister Lucille Pinkert.
The family wishes to thank the entire oncology staff of Marshfield Clinic-Stevens Point and Ascension Home Hospice Care all that they did for Maryanne and her family.
