Obituary for Kay L VerHagen

Kay L  VerHagen
Kay Lucille (Meyer) VerHagen, age 77, of Stevens Point passed away at home Sunday November 4, 2018 with her family present. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Kay was born on May 22, 1941, the daughter of the late Urban A. & Lucille (Madden) Meyer in Green Bay. She grew up in the Green Bay area, attending local schools and graduating from Green Bay West High School in 1959.
Kay married the love of her life, Robert L. VerHagen on August 1, 1959 in Green Bay, together they shared 59 years of marriage.
Kay will be remembered for her devotion to her husband, and her love of family. She stayed home to raise her two sons. Kay enjoyed being with her family, watching movies, playing computer games, reading, knitting, and playing games and cards, especially pinochle. She also volunteered at her church and donated blood to the Red Cross.
She is survived by her husband Robert; their two sons: Chad (Nanette) VerHagen, Necedah and Eric (Jeanne) VerHagen, Rhinelander. Five grandchildren: Cameron (Tonya), Plover; Cole, Stevens Point; Curtis (Julia), Howard; Anne, Stevens Point; Nathan, Stevens Point. Two great grandchildren: Ava and Emma. Her sister-in-laws: Sally Meyer, Peshtigo and Iola Heglund, Ashland. Nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Kay was preceded in death by her brother: Urban R. Meyer and brother-in-law, Ronald Heglund.
