Dorothy was born May 24, 1928 in Bancroft, Wisconsin, the daughter of Neufrey and Gertrude (Kirschling) Gosh. She attended Arnott School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. She married Eric Konkol on June 11, 1947. The couple settled in Stevens Point and owned and operated Konkol Home Builders, for 40 years, while raising their family.
Dorothy’s faith was important to her and she would start her days with reflection and prayers for family and friends. She volunteered over 6000 hours at St. Michaels Hospital in the gift shop and the Surgery Waiting Room. She enjoyed attending concerts and plays and often took the short trips offered thru the Lincoln Center. Dorothy enjoyed staying active and frequently took walks through the Guardian Angel Cemetery or on the Washington School track, often with a friend. She continued that activity into her nineties, by then using a walker to assist her as she walked the areas around The Windsor and then at Brookdale/Dimensions, chatting a bit with those she met on her way, sharing her smile and her wit.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, William (Patricia), Plover, and Chris, Mosinee and one daughter, Linda Erdahl, Proctor MN; brother, James (Edie) Gosh, Antioch IL and sister, Annette Gosh, Plover. She is further survived by grandchildren Kristin (Bill) Milne, Brad (Verdette) Konkol, Bethany Erdahl, and Greta Erdahl and by great grandchildren, Max Milne, Sam Milne, Tescia Konkol and Braden Konkol.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eric in 2007 and sons Gary and Mark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Holy Spirit Parish or to a charity of one's choice.
